Cape Town Tigers marched to the Semi-Final of the Basketball Africa League Qualifiers Elite 16. They edged Matero Magic 79:63.
Cape Town Tigers took an early 26-7 lad and never looked behind after. Matero Magic meanwhile managed to win the last stanza 19-13 for the final result in the game.
Billy Preston (209-PF-97, college: Kansas) stepped up with 21 points and Evans Ganapamo (201-F-94, college: PVAMU) brought 19. Daniel Prinsloo (211-C-92) followed them with 18 points in the winning effort. Jaylen Leroy (190-G-97, college: Plymouth St.) replied with 13 and Chongo Chona (G/F-91) brought 12.
